Question and Answer:

Answer:

Most surfers who enter a dead-end node, a dangling node with no outlinks, use the URL bar to go directly to a new webpage. This is called teleportation, the act of jumping to a new webpage directly without following a hyperlink. Teleportation enables the random surfer to escape from the traps of dead-ends and cycles. Graphically the ability to resort to the URL bar means that every page is immediately reachable from every other page by these artificial teleportation links. The artificial teleportation links are precisely the grey inactive links on the graph in the figure.
