Bernhard Kovacevich

Bernhard Kovacevich

Bernhard Kovacevich enrolled at the University of Washington after six years working as a Unix systems administrator. He received two degrees in June 2009: a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S. in Numerical Methods and Scientific Computing. By studying mathematics and computer science Bernhard deepened his understanding of the scientific fields relevant to his career. Undergraduate research projects at the UW familiarized him with parallel computing, graph theory, and Markov chains. The knowledge and expertise he acquired during his experiences as an undergraduate make him a more effective programmer and researcher.
